I thought I would share these obscure prints with you. These are two publicity stills from Space:1999 I won in a raffle at a UFO convention back in 1989 in London. I have no idea exactly as to their history but imagine that there are very few of them knocking about. Both seem to have an an alien 'force' airbrushed on top. I vaguely remember being told that they were official ITC stills and are probably very rare. They measure 15x19 inches including the frame.
Does anyone know anything more about them? And the inevitable question...are they worth much? Thanks. ![]() ![]() |

I can't speak for worth, except that it's only worth what you can get someone to pay for it, but thanks for sharing. They are cool.

Well, it's definitely from the 80s. Those airbrushed waves couldn't be from any other decade...

Starburst magazine did an article in 78 I think it was showing two other doctored pictures. One was a scene of an Alphan astronaut surrounded by an airbrushedd force bubble from "The AB Chrysalis" and the other showed Koenig watching two security guards firing at something with airbrushed laser beams coming out of the guns. I think a number of these must have been produced for publicity purposes.

I'd love to have some pictures like that. But, I'd rather have or see undoctored ones...

Sorry, my mistake. I'm thinking of the two shots possibly from the annuals and/or lobby cards. The two in Starburst are below:

Here's one of the one's you were thinking of:
![]() Brian The Brain would have been a much shorter episode if they used this scene. |

Hi Phil
Having had experince of those wonderful clip frames..you might want to risk removing them before they Stick to the glass..or it may be too late if the pics have been airbrushed, doesn't take long for the photographs to become one with the glass !!. They should really be framed with a mount so they are away from the glass. So quick and easy those clip frames, they have ruined some nice shots of mine in the past Just a thought...Ian. That picture with the two security guards was actually in one of the Space:1999 year two annuals, exactly like that. There was a story that had that photo, and shots from the Dorcons, the Taybor, Metamorph and one other episode.
