Default 'Quantum Of Solace' Theme Released

.... and it's dreadful. A bit too close to (c)rap for my tastes.

It's more than dreadful...it's just beyond description! What are they thinking of! First of all they cast Daniel Craig as Bond then they do this to the music!!!!

A totally forgettable theme. I much prefer the spoof version. (I've written it down )

Clearly they're trying to appeal to the demographic that lives in da 'hood. Pimp that Aston.

Not as bad as I feared, and I agree with the reviewer that it contains elements of the 'classic Bond' sound. But it just doesn't seem to hang together. I wish Amy Winehouse had done it, as rumoured: despite her infamous appetite for self-destruction she's a great talent. But she was probably 'resting'....

Then again, I'm a traditionalist - the best Bond themes in my opinion were 'Goldfinger', 'Thunderball' and especially 'You Only Live Twice'.

I recently heard Sade for the first time in ages and got to wondering why she never did a Bond theme back in the '80s. Seems like her sort of thing.

Do you mean something like this!
http://www.bbc.co.uk/wrongdoor/

Click on Enter. Go to Clips. Enter Episode Five. Go to "Bondo".

Then laugh your head off.

Brilliant...even better than Roger Moore in Octopussy!

Not keen on the new song and the last one was pretty rubbish as well. Bring back a-ha or Duran Duran to sing Something of Boris.

Strewth - is there even a song in there?
The WORST by far of ANY Bond theme.

Here's how it ought to be, since the rest of the film is likely to be grim: Now that's an opening theme song!

I heard the song...

Oh dear...

What a mishmash, even some attempt (failed) at 'Robert Plant of Led Zep' style wailing...

oh dear is right, I am sure Robert Plant would have jumped at the chance.

He probably would have... and then he'd change his mind again...

Actually, 'No Quarter' (a Led Zep song), would make a great Bond movie title.
Not sure that the (very good) song itself is Bond theme material though.
Way off topic here.... sorry!

I know I claimed to be a 'traditionalist', but I loved the Propellerheads' take on 'OHMSS'. A bit of Big Beat and a bit of Laurie Johnson. Rather a shame it was never used in the films. (Play this as loud as you can.)

I've heard it a few times now, courtesy of Radio 2, and, I have to say that I didn't think that there could be a less memorable, less Bond-like theme than the last one; but I was wrong.

Although, the third time I heard it, I did think it was more like a... pastiche, or parody of a Bond theme, and with that in mind it didn't seem so bad...

...but when it's playing in the cinema, I'll probably be cringing.

The theme song is very catchy; as was the Bubonic Plague!

They should have asked Goldfrap, some of the tracks on their albums are so much like classic bond... full string orchestras, the works.... i hate new bond films, what hapened to good old Badies that wanted to rule the world type plots?
