Default Completed SAW Deep Space Cmd Module (1/87th)

Just wanted to share my latest.

The kit is from Small Art Work. I bought it as a completed kit on eBay but had to strip everything off... The kit itself is great! Excellent details, crisp and looks accurate to me. The casting quality is also very very good for a resin kit.

I have added Mike Reader's aluminium bells/sensors. Main decals are from JBot and the others (most small panels) are custom made. The stand is a clear polycarbonate rod fixed to a recycled winch took from a PE Freighter (converted into a nuclear waste canisters transporter earlier this year...)

More pictures of my fleet of Eagles can be found on my website http://www.geocities.com/adumas02/gallery.html

I also finished (so I though !!!) my Ultra Probe CM recently but I'm NOT going to present it here after you (Alex) have displayed yours now

You're playing in a different class - a long way to for me.

Well done (again)

Thanks, but I sure hope not. There are no lesser builds in the Hobby world. The only thing that matters is to be proud of your accomplishments. I am still proud of most of the kits I have built years ago even though they are not as 'experienced' as my latest projects. Still, the efforts that went into them were just as rewarding. I know, I know we all know that song

So Oliver, where is that Cmd Module of yours!!!

Although it's not clear on the photos, the windows (top only) have been finished with a gloss clear (using Future Floor Wax), unlike the rest of the model which is mat (dull). I really think it adds to the realism at this scale...

But that's the point- after seeing work like this- I am NOT proud of my efforts!

Wonderful, Alex, but where is the rest of the Ultraprobe...

And Oliver, please show us your Ultraprobe CM anyway, you will get many clapping hands which will give you new energy to start your next projects!

If I can display my 'feeble' attempts at building a 12" along with Kerimis, then you have nothing to worry about. Everyone has their own skill level. Be proud of what you do (providing you do your best) and be willing to take creative feedback.
No one here is perfect, as this is about science fiction, and everyone interprets it to their own liking.
I will agree though, it is a gorgeous model. Very well done!

That's a simply awesome build. I must get mine made! I have one question though. Should the engine bells be angled up and out from the main body, or straight on, as Alex has done. I have seen pics of both ways of aligning the bells in the past.

Doug.
Excellent observation, Doug! Although pictures are showing a somewhat straight alignment, I have tried to position them a little angled up and out as you say ...something 'in the middle' of what both references show.

And thanks for the nice comments everyone!
