Default Vickers Vigor Data Resource (includes some large images).

I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread that could provide a central resorce for reference material relating to the Vickers Vigor Tractor, much used in the
creation of some of our favourite vehicles.
Following my unsuccessful attempt to acquire a Vickers Vigor model through eBay I contacted the seller to ask if he could possibly take a few additional photographs
before dispatching the model to its new owner. He very generously obliged and has granted me permission to post them on this forum.
So with grateful thanks to Bob, here they are:

No. Anyway it's gone now, heading for Japan.

As I effectively doubled the value of the final bid, I don't think that I would be the winner's favourite person right now!

off to Japan eh. that's a shame, unlikely they would let us borrow a wheel to post all the way back here and back again.as you say you're probably not his favourite person at the moment, but he was prepared to pay that much when he placed his bid.
cheers Paul

That's gone to a Japanese Thunderbirds fan, I'd put money on it, possibly Teru Yamada.

Probably the Japanese site referred to above http://www.geocities.jp/mysterons_wo...r_tractor.html - this translates fairly good with Babel (or similar).

That also explains where the side lights come from on the Firefly - it's the spot light from the front of the Vickers Vigor.

Would that be the one at Berwick upon Tweed?

Yes please anyway.

I just bought an original Vickers Vigor illustrated parts manual through eBay.

My scanner's going to be busy over the next few weeks.
