was just looking at this to see if the top windows may be a model railway building from faller, kibri vollmer etc. Im not sure,
but I think part of the tower could be from the airfix windmill, white piece underneath the windows upside down.. ![]() Mike |

Such a neat looking building. But I've always wondered how the staff get out of the control room.

I can't find any windows from Faller, Kibri, Pola, Vollmer or any of the other manufacturers.... The closest shape-wise are frames from Faller's B-122 Signal Box, but they're far too small. The windows have a 'scratch built' look to them anyway to me. Keith |

is the circular piece its sitting on from the revell mercury gemini? not sure if the size matches, it has some dimples in the top of it.
the hexaganol base of the windows reminds me of a plate. I agree it is mainly scratchbuilt, looks like one piece of unpainted balsa wood right down the front centre of the building Mike |

That looks like a cable drum just below the clear top of the tower

later it doesnt have the windmill part, maybe because it appeared as a background building in city of fire with no top part, just the main tower.

The building at ground level on the left has the same windows but upside down and extra frames added in white.

the top of the control tower was removeable, leading to an interesting modular arrangement. How many of the other buildings could be modified/arranged?

The skyscraper on the right looks like it's one stacked on top of another. ![]() |

The large scale model on the ground has a Ripmax Searchlight on the roof, care to hazard a guess at the size of the building?

the yellow office attached to it is a HO scale vollmer signal box, used as the gate huts on Marineville.

and the smaller Thompson tower control buildings main lower windows appear to be from the same kibri kit used on Thunderbird 5 and lots of other things

Actually, in the picture, there is a Matchbox Citroen DS which should give some sense of scale
