It may not be Mayan fashion. I must check is there a release date on the film 2012 yet? Don't worry about those aliens BTW they chicken out because we can be all mushy as well as mean b*****ds

Damn, my calendar only runs to the end of this year!
Should I be worried? Phil. PS - Trailer looks good - where does all that water come from?

the water comes from the melting ice caps raising the water levels.
Personally, my own prophecy of 2012 is that humanity will reach a point where our resources are stretched and the we have to change the way we do things (use water etc) because we will have no other options to survive. right now, for the first time in history, on a global scale, any herb or food a person wants from around the world can be gotten no matter where they live. (some parts are easier then others) That will change humanity. Americans are now consuming fruits from the himilayas and the rainforest on a more widespread scale, and the effect of those foods are changing their bodies. They aren't alone in this. I first heard this from Ron Tiegarden of Dragon herbs, and it really made me think. I didn't realize this was the first time in history certain herbs were mass available for the first time anywhere. |

My friend saw the trailer and said the water was from the Earth flipping on it's poles.

But seriously, if the polar ice melted, how much higher would the oceans rise? Surely not enough to submerge the Himalayas! ![]() Phil.

No, it wouldn't submerged the Himilayas.

But they did some calculations: they expect we have to change the name of our city into 'Amersfoort at sea' .

It was Edgar Cayce who really wrote about it.

I'm not sure where the water comes from, but the disaster results from a (spoiler): super-volcano. Presumably the water is a side effect of that.
This is the only official trailer I know of, and there is nothing about the poles therein. Many others are fakes, but if someone has a link to another official trailer, it would be great to see: |

If, hypothetically, both the Greenland and Antarctic icecaps melted, it would raise the sea level by about 67 meters.
Not that it's going to happen. |

And what a change that would make to Britain.
Large tracts of land in both South East Britain and the French Normandy coast would be submerged, meaning the Channel Tunnel would go from one underwater part of the sea to another underwater part of the sea, and would in fact be filled with sea. This would add at least 6 hours to the booze run. Then again, Brussels would be underwater too. Every cloud has a silver lining. ![]() |
