I am planning to add that one to my collection in the next few months, once the wife gets over me buying the 23" PE Eagle.

Hey Liberator...

Maybe I can throw in some dollers, and get one too..
That way we can build DSV-1 and DSV-2..

Then we will just have to make the little Scout ships, and we are done!

Anyone bought one yet? I'd love to see a build-up.

Not got one.
A friend was gonna get one - then was put of by a bit of an iffy review in the latest SF Modeller.
So he went for the slightly smaller, less the clear globe, but quite cheaper version.
Which really is excellent.
And much much bigger than the old Comet version.

I bought one! John at Titan Find emailled to say there were only a few left and no more to be cast. That was the decider. I had to have it and have it now. Its beautiful, its big and I started work on it on the w/e. My first total resin kit. So far its been going together easily. I cant wait to get it fully assembled and painted up I'll take a few pictures of it before I get it completed . Well cast - no air bubbles of concern - just a bit of sanding to get the engine halves to fit. Would love to have lit it but I wanted to get it assembled.

Mine's on order (Birthday present from the wife - so I can't actually have it until December). Thought I should get my order in before they disappear forever...

Sounds like a nice kit.

I gather the engine can be lit with something called a Glo-Tube or something...

A very nice kit. Yes it can be lit. The prototype used a glotoob - $30.00 US, I'd spent enough as it was. I guess if I ever decide to light it I'm going to have to find a way to unstick it.

A couple of pictures:

I got one too! Nice kit, only one complaint, the weapons pods have a tendancy to sag, even with the brass rods; they'd be better if they were piano wire, but it's a bit late now!

The Federation Pursuit ship looks pretty good , so I reckon I'll have to splurge- AGAIN!

Nice to see all these threads on new forums. Nice to see how Liberator's liberator actually turned out.

I've got to have a Pursuit Ship. I've always loved the look of them, and made heaps of cardboard scratchbuilds when I was a kid. I even attempted a Liberator, but I seem to remember that it wasn't all that brilliant!

Hi,
Thought I would post a link to my scratch-built 16" Scorpio from the 4th series of Blakes 7 - my only foray into the world of modelling since I was a teenager!

http://www.culttvman2.com/dnn/Default.aspx?tabid=561

Fairly simple to build as it's all flat surfaces - it's built up from various thicknesses of plasticard and detailed with brass and plastic tubing. The design is very 'Narcissus meets Millenium Falcon' with the wedge shape and intricate surface detailing and my fave from the series along with the pursuit ship. . . however as it's the BBC it ended up being painted the same colour as an Austin Allegro.

If you like pursuit ships, here's an interesting link -

I want one!

Splendid work on the Scorpio, and the Pursuit Ship kit looks very enticing.
