Default My Eagle Crib

I built this Eagle hanger diorama using exact dimensions to fit into my display case. The windows are lighted by individual fiber optic strands. I still want to add light towers.

Any suggestions are welcome.

That's an amzing Hangar you've build there

I don't know where to start ...
the hangar walls are brilliant and all the platforms ... - I'm jealous.
Oh, and the Hawk mount

How did you make these platforms and fuel tanks, etc ???

I really like the gantries you've built, they really look the part. Three or four lights would just make this diorama. Have you seen the threads on how to make them. You'd be able to do so very easily. This is a real credit to you. I'd love this to display some of my eagles. Glad the Hawk made it in there, and the tank.

Fantastic work Bruce…those Ertl Eagles look so sharp!!!! Love the Moonbuggy variant…all scratchbuilt I assume?

Looking forward to your recently completed nuclear waste area 2 diorama…should be nothing short of a stunner!

BTW Bruce…and still on the subject of "accurizing" the Ertl Eagle …may I invite you to visit this thread?...believe me, you won’t regret it!

More like ditching the Ertl eagle and making one from scratch. Bruce you won't believe the work kkerimis does.

That's superb work. Really amazing. As others have said, you've got me jealous as I always fancied a hangar.

Thanks, gentlemen. It is nice to have some of my work seen by people who do not respond with, "Hmmm, I don't remember seeing those in Star Wars..."

Thanks. The middle and front Eagles are both highly modified. I did these back in 2001 before other more accurate (and still affordable) options were available. It was a struggle, but Mr. Small was working on his authentication kit at the time and his advice helped pull me through. Michael Dentzer's spring loaded oleo strut design was an inspiration to me as well.

I will post a thread about my "good enough" authentication techniques for the terribly inaccurate ERTL kit sometime. It won't yield results like kkerimis , but it can be done in just a few months and uses as many of the kit parts as possible.

Thanks, Jorge. The moonbuggy was actually a cheap plastic ATV toy that I found in a throw-out bin in a thrift store. I modified it a little and painted it. I figured that if they had two-seaters for joy riding, then they must also have some long bed utility versions too Sort of like a moonbuggy Ford F-150 crew cab
