Wow. Loved that kit as a kid. Built about 5 of 'em!

You never know, they might reissue the Eagle and Hawk yet!

That's unlikely; Airfix never owned the tooling.

With this issue, it would be nice if we could have accurate decals

IIRC, 7" long. IT's closer to 1/100

Actually, it's a bit of a mish-mash in that the wings are a different scale to the body

...Don't Ask!!!

Great news, I loved that kit as a kid. But its going to hang on the decals, isn't it?

Nothing cooler than a quality Spectrum roundal.

I see they are also puting out a kit of HMS daring - T45 destroyer first of class built at my work in Scotstoun - even Airfix are late with the contract its not due till 2012!

Always loved the Interceptor - hope that it has the old box art as well

I have a set from JBOT decals ready and waiting for this kit:

Here are the details, delivery can be a little slow but his quality is fantastic.

He has an interesting line in Space 1999 stuff too.

I always thought it was a pretty accurate kit but something wasn't right (apart from the front skid was too short)and couldn't work out what it was!

This was the first kit I ever had, age 6, my brother built it for me. I recall seeing a photo of Phones with a headset made from the turrets of two kits but have not been able to find it so I may be delusional . I'm sure there is a Stingray expert who'll put me right.

I've still got a couple older issue Angel Interceptors in my stash, one of the original boxing and a second one of the 1980s boxing with the snap pegs. Glad to see it coming back out as I have wanted to build one, but didn't want to kill either of the ones I already had.

Im geting very excited about Airfix. I hope the Interceptor moulds have been updated. The new Sea Vixen kit was so utterly amazing I bought another one...but the Bristol Scout (1968 kit, just re-released in a red box) was not the worlds nicest kit. Definately buying an Angel!
