Default FAVOURITE SPACE 1999 IMAGE

Any one out there care to share their favourite Space 1999 image - eg publicity shot / artwork / or screen grab.

One of my favourites (which I'm currently using as my desktop wallpaper) is this shot below.

There are lots, but this one and the shots of eagle three entering the atmosphere in season 2 stick out. They look the part.

I think it's interesting that all three portraits on the ITC cover have been reversed.

The one that did it for me & still always puts a smile on my face is this one…

Why? Because I saw it in ( I think ) Look-in before the series had even started & thought I have got to see more of that, & that’s how my obsession with Space 1999 & the Eagle started!

That's a great image - stark, vivid and simple - a clever 'teaser' if, indeed, that image was publicised before the start of the series.

I'll have to dig my pics out. The one icon that I picked out of Space:1999 was the Eagle. I drew it all over my homework and during in between classes from junior high to high school. I'll try to find them and scan them in.

I also love the below episode trailer picture and headline that I found on the internet - even though it's more of a spoiler in that it gives away the shocking finale of that episode (Death's other Dominion) !!!

My all time favourite pic is this from the Year 2 Opening titles -

Closely followed by the iconic Year 1 title caption -

Yes - a great opening shot to the series.
Could not find a picture of it on the web (perhaps someone could post it if they can find it) - but the image that apppeared with the episode title was also very effective...

I've always loved that simple black and white pic of Eagle 1 on a launch pad with a rescue pod fitted. I think it's the first pic of an Eagle I ever saw.

I really loved the opening sequence of the first series, flashing images of what the Alphans were about to endure just thrilled me and this was the image that pushed over my rushing heart to giddiness. Still gets me excited seeing it...

That's the shot that was used for the View-Master discs! Wow! That takes me back!
