Sounds great. But don't get your hopes up too much. I've just been reading "The Greatest Sci-Fi Movies Never Made" and history is littered with good intentions. Plenty of films which nearly got made, many, many rewrites, producers, directors etc. falling by the wayside, options expiring etc. etc.

Default UFO The Film

As Keith has already mentioned, so many projects have been promised in the past and then abandoned so there is in all probability little chance of this film being made.

Even if it was, I would guess it would bare little or no resemblance to the original and be produced using cheap CGI.

With few exceptions, remakes are mostly inferior to the original.

The last film Robert Evans produced linked to an ITC series was The Saint with Val Kilmer - and that was a complete disaster.

Default WHY!

Why do they have to tinker with my favorite TV show? Guess Keanu Reeves will be Straker?

Please don't even joke about that. I just watched his remake of The Day the Earth Stool Still. Saying anything more would get bleeped out, so I'll stop here.

If you think the remake of "The Day The Earth Stood Still" was bad(which it was) try and get hold of a copy of "The Day The Earth Stopped". I'm still wondering if I dreamed it.

They'll probably make Straker a woman. My money is on Paris Hilton for the role.

As long as she's Virginia Lake standard, you'll have few complaints from me.

Could be worse. This is from the IMDB site:
The original series was set in the year 1980 and followed a covert military organisation which kidnapped and killed humans.

Yes I second that,

I hope they don't balls this remake up like Thunderbirds - Gerry Anderson was pissed off with the remake & that Jonathan Frakes hadn't asked Gerry's permission is what really got me angry.

Kind Regards

What odds are being offered that it'll be any good versus it being utter crap? I know where I'm betting my money.
