Unbelievable! but you're absolutely right. Equally unbelievable then is the caption on the Sixteen 12 page *Production model shown*. It looks like another classic rip!

Yet again they show they know nothing of decency or honesty.

It's very blatant. Those images seem like they've been taken from that thread (post #174). Was that with anyone's permission?

Thanks for the link.

As soon as I saw the photos, - I thought these are familiar

However as Steve comissioned the photos*, he may well have allowed them to be used.

I'll try and find out.

Keith

* copyright remains with the photographer though

I do approve of one thing - the release date.
Very funny.

This suggest to me that 1612 are claiming they did the "Photoshop artistry".

I've e-mailed Steve to see if he has had anything to do with this. If not I think I'll be contacting them. Can't see a phone number for Steve Walker but I'm sure one of the forum members had contacted him. So I might come asking for that.

Made in the UK? Hmm.... Why change their habits now after contracting out to China for all these years?

I'm very much looking forward to learning how this all pans out. I've bought my fair share of PE Eagles, but if this turns out to be an egregious rip, they'll have lost my business against any future purchases.

Steve has just confirmed that it IS his launch pad which is being produced and he gave them permission to use the photos, so panic over!

Now that's interesting, the claim is that the production model is shown, but on the details page they write

After some Photoshop artistry, the photographs show an early prototype model along with some 12inch Die Cast Eagles, in all of its glory

So that means that the advertising is false or just really badly put together. Hopefully Steve will be able to fill us in, but the photo work is yours to be recompensed for Keith.

Am I wrong or were there questions about the demensions of this pad?... and don't you actually own it Jorge?

ED there you are, as we type, the questions are answered.

OK! for a start, I was commissioned to build a brand new Launch Pad for Sixteen/12 which has nothing at all to do with the LP I originaly built. The new prototype has not even been started as yet so as far as copying my original model goes forget it, just can't happen. The new pad will not have the service platform attatched (unless someone else builds it). Without going in to too many details the production models will indeed built in England, so fingers crossed the finished article will reflect the work I will be putting in, not some sweatshop job. As far as Bishop/Tony42's comments go as to Jorge having the only original pad goes, he should have a word with Jim Small before opening his mouth and do what he does best. Go figure!!!

I think it's just the fact that he at one time offered / sold some launch pad models too, so this wasn't the only one in town...

Ah, gotcha. Jim's were pretty good but quite pricey if only because of their size. People don't appreciate how big a launch pad would be even for a 12" Eagle.

STILL nothing via email. No word of this at all.

Did I pay them a 'Club' membership fee for nothing?...
