This Discovery is about the same size as the old Lunar models one, same length. 30 inches,

Though my CM and engine units are a bit smaller and my engine 'bells' are larger.

Well, you've really made my day!!! The detailing on this looks superb! When will it be out (roughly) and will it be preorderable through Starship modeler as usual? I 've just seen my christmas list, which was not going to be very big anyway suddenly shrink to one item ,which is rather fortunate. But at long last my holy grail model is available again! And I may be building it in 2010,which seems oddly appropriate!! I was looking rather longingly at some pictures of 2001 models at the Eagle met. That huge Orion and the Discovery look great. Wished I could have made it.
I haven't completely finished detailing the Orion, this summers none model project has been the garden which has needed doing of ages and its cost me far more in funds, time and effort than I anticipated, but it had to be done and should be finished soon. Thank god for the winter!

Can't wait to see these getting built. I'm assuming the brass etching is being used to make the masters, or will it be part of the kit. Very nice stuff.

Looks stunning, love the idea of a detailed pod bay as well, I can feel my wallet twitching already.
