Na, don't post ideas, just post some of your work

Something I did when there was no Lego SW whatsoever...in the 80's.

I don't have any photos, but in the late 1970s I built Zero-X with Hangar.

I had to make allowances for the lack of certain parts, so the Landing gear was removable, rather than retractable and the Hangar door had to slide upwards, since Dad would not have been pleased with me digging holes in the floor, but it captured the spirit of the original

...and help aligning things. I used it for instance to help fixing the solarpanels of my Altares model. Very useful.

There are some interesting Lego builds on Flickr.

Create your own Thunderbirds minifigs -

This link should take you to a page full of them.

Cool post Gumboot, be nice to see the Liberator in more detail.

I must confess a weakness for Lego Technic

I just checked the flickriver link I listed yesterday and it doesn't seem to function now. Another way to find these models is just to go into the flickr website and do a search there.

Here is a link to more Liberator models - http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=lego%20liberator&w=all

There are lots of Battlestar Galactica builds there too.

Default Lego Thunderbirds and other Gerry Anderson stuff!

I've been working on a few Lego versions of Gerry Anderson models. I'm even trying to get Lego to turn some of them into official kits. You can vote for them if you sign on at the Lego ideas site. Lego do all sorts of marketing tie-ins and I can't understand why they haven't ever done something with all the Gerry Anderson models. Probably a lack of air play. UFO hasn't been on our screens since the 70s?

The UFO Interceptor needs a bit of work on the side pods and I'm going to redesign the superstructure on the SPV. It's a bit chunky... according to my brother!

If you want to support either model you can find Thunderbird 4 at https://ideas.lego.com/projects/101645 and the UFO Interceptor at https://ideas.lego.com/projects/99206 I only need to get about another 9,970 people to support them for Lego to think about making them.

As a retirement plan, there are some flaws!

Default UFO Interceptor

The UFO Interceptor images aren't playing ball for some reason. So are some of an Eagle Transporter instead. There are quite a few more detailed ones out there but I was young when I did this (only 46!) and I'd been away from Lego for a while.
