Darn it, I was hoping maybe he could do one more cameo role in Doctor Who, given how good he even looked into his 60s and 70s (and his role in one of the final Sylvester McCoy episodes helped bring a final bright spot to what otherwise wasn't as good a season as it could have been). He certainly brought a certain amount of class to the show back then as the UK leader of UNIT.

Don't forget he did have a brief role in DOPPELGANGER too so there is an Anderson connection to this loss.

He did appear in the Sarah Jane Adventures. Very sad news after getting back from LA and the Dr Who convention.

Crap, and nobody in the states has aired any of the Sarah Jane adventures after series 1. I would love to see it as I think it is a great show.
