Default What are you building right now ?

Easy enough, what are you building right now. Myself, I'm doing a 1/48th scale MiG-21 "Fishbed" J. I've seen a colour scheme that I like, its multi shades of grey and light blue splinter camouflage of the Czechoslovakian air force.

However, the Czech markings are 'muted', in the same way that US markings have been on combat aircraft with the colours of the roundels in monochrome. Does anyone know if any of the decal manufacturers do aftermarket decals like this?

Hoping to finish my 23" scale Meta Probe Ship within the next 5 days.

It's only the solar panels which need to get completed. Target is to have them ready for painting by sunday.

Currently it's the infamous (badly fitting) Starfury from Babylon 5 with aftermarket resin guns. I'm shelving any bigger/more serious builds 'till after the shed/workshop is set up - hopefully next summer.

I am busy restoring a Play Art batmobile for someone, in the middle of restoring an early Corgi Green Hornet car, also fixing a paint chip on a Corgi Yellow submarine, Adding detail to a reissue Corgi Green Hornet car (by changing the seats to an original unit with figures... the car now rocks ). also changing some screens on my restored Corgi batmobiles, fixing areials on my flock of original Corgi batmobiles, also fixing an original Corgi Man from Uncle Super 88, and restoring one in International livery (white rather than blue) and restoring a battered old Corgi batboat with adapted Matchbox Roadkings boat trailer for my son.

WHen summer fully arrives (which it now has) I shall get back to my Aliens APC 1:35 and the cages on the PE 23" So much to do and work just gets in the way. Oh to be one of the idle rich.... wouldn't be idle, just rich

I shall post a picture of the collection at some point. I reckon its just the sort of collection action man Alan would have stashed in his room on Alpha. After all the Eagles and women, I can see him coming home and having a serious play with this cool stuff. Kids now days are so ripped off when it comes to toys.

Yes eight of the lovelies, two for me and six commission builds, the six having all six pod variants e.g. std, rescue, lad, vip, winch and freighter. All the front and back cages complete with engine frames are done along with six spines, (I will be doing a thread of the build so far later on this year) so watch this space. They make a very nice picture all lined up side by side
