Default Advice on re-touching toy boxes needed

anyone got any thoughts on doing little touch ups on old toy boxes..?

I have a C21 joe 90 box with couple of places where sellotape has taken the print off and the white card of the box is exposed

as a pro graphic designer I could more or less invisbly fix this but would it ruin it as a collectable..?

I personally don't mind small very well done repairs but not sure of the consensus

cheers

If you find the need to sell the toy at some point, your expert repair could actually devalue it in the eyes of a dealer or collector. A collectible that is all original and un-meddled with seems to be prized above one that has been 'fixed'. My advice: Scan the box and retouch it on system. Output it to a high standard, affix to card or corrugated stock and create a replica box. Put the original box away in a safe place and use your 'perfect' replica for display.
