Any one know where I can get plans for the Diving Bell from Warlords Of Atlantis or aka Warlords of the Deep 1978 or some pics of it.
I remember once seeing it on the harbour in Tourquay, but when we went back about 4-5 years later it was gone Someone must know where it is.

After searching for reference for this for years I finially found the actual prop, so after a 250 mile round trip to see it I've got loads of reference pics so I'll be starting this project very soon.

Here's some pictures

A bit more work done on the window.
You can just about see the rivets I added around the viewport.

Now with added rivets (and a bit of a different contour)

What an amazing find! Is it outside a hotel or pub, or is that someone's house? I won't ask where, the owners might not welcome having their location splashed around...

Your model's looking great so far, I look forward to seeing in-progress updates!

Will you make a giant eel-/serpent-thing to attack it?

EDIT: Just found this - looks like you got to it just in time, seems mum & dad want sonny boy to shift the thing from their garden:
Couple say it's time warlords took back their diving bell

Default What the..!!**&$

That was 10 minutes from where we took a summer weekend holiday in 2009, drat and double drat..!

Nice model by the way and it will be worth all the effort I'm sure. We could start a whole new tour company, visiting places all over the UK where old movie props reside as garden ornaments. Paul Fosters Car springs to mind....

Google Maps had no problems finding the site, the owners details are all in the article, they really want rid of the thing. I remember an eBay auction recently where the owner was asking 11,000 to start, I wonder if that is realistic? It might be for a Cavorite Sphere from First Men in the Moon...

It would still make a great play house for my kids and would be a whole lot better than a lap built shed.

After taking a mold of the window with silicone here's the first resin copy out.
Now just got to make two more.
The main window is proving a bit more of a challenge to sculpt.

Great work so far, really looking forward to seeing this one painted. Are you planning to make a kit? I would be interested, it's just the sort of odd ball thing I love...

This build has really slowed down because the main window isn't circular like the others but a very slight oval and it's proving hard to get right.
Anyway I've cast the other three view ports so they are ready to go on.
I cant remember if I mentioned the size of this so here's a picture just so you get a idea of how big it is.

I know this is of absolutely no use to you as you must have loads of photos of the real thing close-up, but it's a nice picture anyway:

Finally finished the main window after hours of reshaping and checking and reshaping, but i think its close enough to stop now. Just got to make a mold so i can get a resin copy.
