Time to rectify some molding errors before final assembly.  Again, patience here will reap rewards later on...

Out with the modeler's putty.  This stuff is easily mixed between finger and thumb but some may prefer mixing on a ceramic plate or other hard surface.  After about two minutes of kneading, and after the two parts have mixed thoroughly, the putty can be put to use
Sizeable areas can (and should) be filled with the putty.  In most cases I overfilled the area then allowed it to set hard before sanding down to shape

Milliput sets harder than the resin and is even hard enough to be drilled
This hole presented not only a challenge with filling but would need some reshaping when dry
I used a rotary tool here to give shape to the hardened putty but I could just have used a file or similar as the area wasn't large.  However, the rotary tool allows you (if you're careful) to finish parts quickly
The finished edge!
With this size of air pocket you can use a drop or two of medium CA to fill the hole and sand down later when dry
The nose cone was quite noticeably 'pitted' (especially after I'd 'keyed it' in preparation for using putty!) however, I decided just to spread a thick layer of thin CA over the area and sand down when dry.  Fortunately, it worked out well and produced quite a smooth finish
