Once owned this Joe 90 cage

But had no room & it kept getting broken

So glad someone has restored it today & given it the puppet diorama scene, it so gladly deserves.

I hope there are pics of the models - seen the same photos of the same puppets again and again on the Fanderson FB page, would be nice to see models as well!

Very nice - I'll have to try to find out how to be an exhibitor at the next one as I've now got quite a large collection of models I've built nowadays and most of them from readily available kits rather that these gorgeous scratch built one that are beyond the capabilities of most people.

It was great.

It was a really good convention, lots of really friendly fans & exhibitors, the venue was amazing, an art deco 1920s style ballroom type theatre, only gripe was no grub on sale & drinks could have been cheaper.
But more plus points, huge screens displaying Thunderbirds movies on blu ray plus Filmed in Supermarionation.

There was only 1 fella displaying smaller models like yourself, he was Tony of the TnT-hobbies, obviously Barnesy not with us anymore, but Tony had a great display see pics.
He sold that Day of Disaster diorama & you can see why it was snapped up, as it was brilliant.

Basically you are not at an Anderson convention without the Nitpicker being present.

Barry Davies wasn't there but his superb puppets were.

Barry knocks out a mean Thunderbirds puppet & I am not sure who made the sets as I didn't catch the fellas names, but basically they are excellent.

Brains Lab

Again not sure of the name of the creators of Brains lab complete with a Brains made by Vaughn Herriott, nor the Thunderbird 5 interior with a John by Vaughn too.

1 stand that was very busy was Vaughn Herriotts & his puppets, its fair to say that Vaughn is the hardest working puppeteer in the country if not the world,
Vaughn turned up late friday night after a 10 hour traffic jam journey from his native Cornwall & set up this mega display.
Loved the Brains roasting in the sand puppet.
I wasn't at Andercon last year so was glad to see these in the flesh & whats interesting about puppets when you photo them with a flash is how different they look under lights.
Lovely lovely plexiglass stands

More from Vaughn

The set from Vault of Death i.e Brains & Light fingered Fred in prison was real cool, & Vaughn was telling me that he now works with Terry Curtis who is passing on some of his trade secrets to him.
I must also point out that Lee Allwood does the fantastic sculpts for all the puppets you see where no existing cast is available.
