Glad to hear it Ramjet! or is it Roger?

It's Dave :) Ramjet was a nick I was given in my flying days.

Here is my first appeasement offering.

I will texture it up and put it somewhere interesting shortly.

Here is a slightly larger render.
Still one material, but more reflection and uses a fresnel filter to give more reflection at greater angles - less straight on.

One last render.

Again, thanks for the resource, it's invaluable.

Perhaps an unauthorised glimpse into the secret manufacture of the prototype Eagle frames?

... and don't do it again, Space 1899.

First of all, the glowing 'radioactive' Eagle reminds me of the end of the 1980's punk film Repo Man.
Secondly, the pic you posted where you said you'd make it more interesting was plenty interesting in its own right.
Thirdly, your submissions just keep getting better and better. Thanks, and keep 'em coming!

Thanks for the words of encouragement, CR.

Yes. Quite nuts.

If that offends you, you may swim to Australia and punch me in the nose.

I would like this to take place just as you crawl onto the beach.

Bugger. Now I have to offer another render to stop you swimming here all angry like.

That is class work, just look at the rippled reflection.

Thanks again.

I've taken things a step further with my first Eagle draft animation.

I'm open to suggestions for ways to do something exciting with it.

Well, swimming to Australia sounds fun, but it wouldn't be to punch you. (Where'd you get the idea that I was offended, anyway? I was just making light of myself and many other members here being a bit nutty, in good fun. Of course, my sarcasm meter might be off a little, and it's been a while since I've spoken Australian, so maybe I'm just missing something besides my own mind.)

Anyway, nice render, and that animation looks good, too, especially for a first draft. I can imagine that Eagle being on a launchpad lift, rising up to launch position.
