As we are now selling a range of Vac Formed Dalek parts, Captain Scifi has compiled this helpful little guide to cutting the parts from the sheet

1)Cut a length of wood 13mm thick (most home centres sell 1/2" planed wood for trim)

2) Fix one end of a 300mm hacksaw blade to it with a small screw

3) Position the blade so it overhangs at an angle as shown

4) Then add another screw at the other end like this

5) Keeping everything flat to the table will guarantee a clean uniform cut with just a little sanding to smooth the edge

6) 30 seconds later....

7) Turn and cut, Turn and cut

Jig Modifications

8) Using a crosshead screwdriver punch a cross into the wood, this will start the screw and prevent slipping

9) Add a screw as shown

10) Add 2 more screws as shown using the same method

11) Turn the jig over and the new screws should act like a tripod, add a small washer or two to keep the blade tight against the jig when inverted
