Luna module in scale with shado mobile

seaview

Alphans
Hi Guys
Lots of work for this new year .

Here's my start on the Luna module , ive had my drawings scaled up so the figures ive used in the Shado mobile fit the cabin of the Luna module .

One photo shows my Intercepter build project next too the Module to give you a idea how big the model will be , in another the SPV casting i also need to build , there seems to be a lot of SPV's around heard on the grape vine the old product Enterprise , Steve Walker has a studio scale coming out very soon ? as well as Mamas all great stuff .

Weather pending this build should be pretty much straight forward ,so once again happy new year
best
Pete

Hi Guys

Here's this weekend's work, added one more frame at the front nose section .

The rear section that the radiator fins are located has also been built , ive also started filling in the underside of some of the nose frames .

The one good thing regarding building models like this is how quickly you can see the model develop in shape in front of you , over the next wk i'll be adding the foam blocks and sanding the contours in, before applying p38 outer layer .

more soon

HI Guys
Here's this morning's work filled the left had side with block foam, before working on the SPV in my work shop , its a little warmer in there , getting a nice tan working on the Luna module outside though , or is it wind burn.

This is a lovely project to take on , nice straights lines with a few contours here and there just to give you some fun along the way .

Hi Guys
A new wk , and here's today's offering.

Worked for a couple of hrs on the Luna module and SPV this morning, the surface finish still has a few hours work left in it before i can work on the cockpit cabin and those large nose side hump things ?.

Tomorrow I will be working on the Sides of the Luna module , and working my way underside .

Most of the underside has been filled in but where the underside wraps around to meet the top side rear flat area's these parts needs a little foam work , a couple of hours at the most .

As you can see ive very quickly sprayed the pattern red , to start to hightlight the area's i want to work on ,

More this wk

Hi Guys
Felt like i was working in the Northpole this morning -5

Anyway more filling and sanding today , on the underside edges around the nose area , not much left to do .

Also started to work on capturing the sleek look the luna module has on the contour's around the nose area , i'm pretty happy with the shape so far , until i add the cockpit canopy and side blisters , then i can really have a good look , more tomorrow then friday guess what ? a day off need to warm up the feet
best

Hi Slate
Good to hear from you mate , the only thing i needed on that day was a igloo workshop i would have felt right at home .

Here's yesterday's work , i managed to get the underside around the nose area ,all skimmed and 1st sanding , so it's just a case of this wk to apply a second skim and rework until the whole underside is all smooth and flat.

I mostly worked on the SPV after that ,but before the school runs i started on the cockpit with block foam , next wk I'll take a outline from my drawing and lay this on the model and work the foam and car filler within these lines , to give me my final shape .

enjoy
Best
Pete
