Expected in the first half of 2013 is the Moebius's rendition of RDM's Battlestar Pegasus to the same scale as the Galactica they've aready issued. Moebius have also aquired the rights to the original seriies models and kits of the Cylon raider, Basestar, Viper and an accurate Galactica are planed. The Galactica is to be to the same scale as the RDM version and the Cylon Raider is supposed to be to the same scale as the Viper.

A quick update Moebius have released the Pegasus model kit this weekend. The next kit that seems to be on the way is the Original series Raider and it's rumoured that later in the year we will be seeing the Raptor from NuBattlestar in the same scale as the Viper

I couldn't be more excited by the new cylon raider release, a MASSIVE model.

I went on their facebook page, and the cylon raider is next to the new viper that they also plan to release.

Unfortunately, i'm disappointed regarding the viper, it will have the same size as the previous revell viper, which was approx 12 inches.

I would like so much to have a 18-20 inches long BSG Viper !

Andre/All,

I have :-

Mike Salzo - TOS Viper at 16.5"
FM Models - NuBSG Viper Mk II at 17"
FM Models - NuBSG Viper Mk VII at 18.5"
Howlin Wolf - NuBSG Cylon Raider at 16"

Resin kits (unstarted), all at the same scale (approx. 1/20), all for sale.

T.F.U the Raptor is a popular subject with a lot of people but as my post refered to it as a rumoured subject for Moebius with nothing confirmed as yet. As it is they have a full schedule for the year with the TOS Raider coming soon and the TOS Galactica tentativley on the way before Christmas, a lot of things could happen between now and then.
Neogoglu, the Moebius Vipers were deliberately scaled at 1/32 scale to match the original Revell version. It is a pity that Moebius cannot produce models for the Anderson series given the quality of molding that is possible in the 21st century but like any company I suppose that the need to make money governs what they produce and realistically could a commercial case be made for models from so called "puppet shows"

Well im in no hurry - im looking forward to the release of the beast and the later release of the classic Galactica (or Olympus as im gonna call it).

From the Horses mouth (so to speak)
I have a Moebius Batman Tumbler Test Shot on my bench at the moment.

They are saying 2 years before all three are out (Me I can't wait for the Galactica).

Hobby link Japan have both the Viper and TOS Galactica showing as available from July, of course they don't say what year that is, as I've never dealt with this company before I am unsure as to how reliable their information is. A case of wishful thinking perhaps?

Me neither. I have the Galactica and the viper on pre-order with Megahobby who said the viper would arrive in the 1st quarter of 2013. When that didn't happen I started looking around for info, but not even the Moebius Web site has any info on timing.

If you have a private contact in Moebius, please keep us informed.

Cheers
Eddie

An update the classic series Viper should be available sometime in October and Paragrafix have produced an etched fret for the cockpit and inside the engines. Test shots of the classic Galactica and Cylon raider are awaiting final approval so probably wont be seen until next year.

Another update, moebius had the classic Galactica at the Ihobby show this year. From the images I've seen it looks very very good indeed, it's certainly better than the monogram version. The only negatives that have come to light are that the bridge appears to be too high and the panel lines appear to be too deep, nothing a competent modeller couldn't fix.

For those that want to see for themselves the Culttvman website has the pictures of the model at the show.

The model itself is expected to be available early February 2014.

Looking good big G

Indeed the parts count is much higher in the moebius kit, there are more parts in the "gator head" than in the entire monogram model, allowing a higher detail level. From comments I've seen you will have to be careful in the assembly sequence as it will be difficult to get some sub assembly's aligned if you go out of the build sequence.

Forgot to include in yesterday's post that the classic Raider is expected shortly after the Galactica.

Thanks for the update.

I have my Viper.

Now it's a countdown to getting the Galactica.

Cheers

Over on The Replica Prop forum a user, Marko@Rockvoice has received a test shot from moebius and has set about building it to more accurately portray the studio model, his work so far looks stunning.
