I think the first one is from the first heavy perspex one, as far as I remember it was screwed to the underside when needed.
The second isnt from a cruiser, its from another ship, cant remember which one.

Bye the way the clear red tape on the lights was red lithograph tape, Ive still got the roll of tape we used, I dont think you can buy this stuff anymore.

Steve Begg wanted all the models to have lights fitted, its not really supriseing that some of the lights have blown after 21 years and we used to overun the bulbs meaning that if a bulb was 6 volt for example we'd run it at 10 or 12 volts to make it brighter, but that obviously cut down the bulb life.

Been busy getting these props working again..after bit of tinkering and soldering I've only got the big green hopper to fix. the little green hopper is pretty damaged at it's back end(as you can see) but the front lights are brights as hell. Built to last

well not a 'break' but just been to busy to work on this.
But finally got the back end sorted yest and front today(via the windscreen that comes off)

you can see in the second pic the holder for the lights, it's like a pipe clip.

cant believe the front bulbs still worked, the back ones were all blown
