JR21 Joe 90 Car Rosenthal restoration.

Hi guys, I rarely post but am a long-time observer.
Sharing my latest creative work with the community, if relevant on this thread?

Started off as a personal Joe 90 JR21 restoration. Then I considered fellow collectors might also like to restore their own Rosenthal Joe 90 Cars. And recapture some Retro Dreams. :D

Took a great deal of time, care and cost to perfect - hope to help others enjoy restoring their Joe 90 Car too! :)

You'll know it's a 'Retro Dreams' Original.
A serial numbered hologram will accompany each item.

Hi, Don't mean to be rude but you know this is the Puppet thread.

Not the Andy you're thinking of Larry. But a puppet festival sounds good..

Thanks for your kind feedback, it's really appreciated.

Would anyone happen to know where I could buy some red perspex that was used for the spectrum pistols please? I can't seem to find anywhere that has at least 10mm thickness.

Hi all. Just a question about jointing a puppet replica. What type of joint is used between torso and pelvis on captain scarlet type bodies. Trying to come up with joints that dont leave the replicas looking limp/lifeless on their stands. Maybe add some poseabillity to them.

Hi, yes it's hard to find, I cast mine from clear resin tinted with Tamiya clear red colour and of course you can make any of the Captains by using the appropriate colour.

Parker Puppet

Hi all this message goes out to Andy R. welcome and i too will look forward to your adventures in the World of puppet making? Also out to Ryan hello from across the big blue in frozen Canada.

I posted this link longgg ago but the images are still there for you to use. This is an original,"Parker" that has been in my collection for about 25 years now.

I can't help with methods of painting but i know Chris King sure could? As i see David Sission in replicating Anderson model design's and finish then Chris is to the Puppet World they are both,"modern master's" at there craft?

All the best from Michael
Hi Michael, I was trying to PM you but the site doesn't appear to be working properly , the pictures you generously posted of your original Parker puppet are no longer accessible and I'm in the middle of making a Parker they would be invaluable as reference, I wonder if you could repost them please, many thanks Niall.

Can anyone advise me please? I'd like to paint a puppet head on the same way the originals were. How do I go about it? Do I need to prime the head before stippling the enamel paint on? How do I get the correct shade for stubble? I've seen some that look like they've been dabbed with an oily rag which doesn't look that great.
