Red Dwarf news.

After more than ten years at Shepperton, the Red Dwarf production offices were closed for the last time a couple of months ago. It's doubtful we'll ever see a movie.

Well since the last couple of seasons were absolutely terrible I can't say I am too sad about this. I will just watch series 1-6 and think about what might have been.

Actually I thought series 8 was rather good, though the final words 'to be continued' now seem somewhat daft.

I didn't mind eight. Seven wasn't great but not recording it in front of a studio audience and thus no laughter track didn't help. The only stand out moment of series seven was The Arnold Rimmer Experience which was hilarious.

I can't do it now but I'll sort some pics out later.

The Arnold Rimmer Experience was great but I couldn't stand the new Kristine Kochanski, I thought she brought the whole season down. The eighth season didn't work for me because of the crew of Red Dwarf coming back. To me Red Dwarf worked best with a minimal cast.

Chloe is married to one of the series backers. Doug knew what he was doing. She's a very nice person in real life but acting doesn't appear to come easily to her. Pitched against Chris, Robert, Craig and Danny, who are all very charismatic and naturally funny, didn't help. I got the impression she always felt a little self conscious although I might be being a little disingenuous. I believe she's settled down into raising a family now.
