Well it's been a long time coming but it's finally finished... actually I finished it just before Christmas but kept forgetting to take any pictures!

I'm disappointed about the decals reacting with the satin clear coat, I've used Humbrol acrylic satin, gloss and matt over decals may times before without any issues but I'll know if I build another one with these decals.
Being philosophical, although it stands out like the proverbial sore thumb in the pictures you can't actually see the decal cracks with the naked eye and I have pretty good eyesight!

So one more for the display case and I'd better get on with the Interceptor now.

Superb job there, particularly considering the scale.
Phenomenal attention to detail and really fine surfaces.
A shame about the decals. Is it not possible to remove and replace them without damaging the paintwork?

Thanks guys.

Ironically the satin clear I put on to protect the decals actually attacked them, I'd probably have to strip the whole thing to remove them now they've been clear coated.
I can live with them how they are and will know for the next one.

Dinky?

Is that dinky shado mobile? looks the same size

I was planning to repaint my dinky (the original paint job is shot anyhow) , but don't know where to get those decals...where did you get them?

I had in mind to use it in a forced perspective diorama with my product enterprise mobiles...

Hi, no it's a resin copy of a master I scratch built. It's 1/72 scale so I'd guess around 2/3rds the size of the Dinky Mobile.

Decals came from Jbot but sadly Jimbo had a stroke last year and I don't believe he's doing decals anymore.
