"Trapped in the Sky" recreation

I wasn't too happy about a lot of the proportions and angles, so I virtually rebuilt the main structure and realigned all the bits. It looks way better now. Well that's it for now. Onto the texturing. That should be fairly painless as there aren't any dirt maps.

Not totally right yet, need to fiddle with some of the textures still, and some bits still don't look quite right, but it's good enough for a six second shot.

Something about the backwards International Rescue doesn't look right, though. Also, is that a toon shader on the dome above? That'll need fixing

No, I am using a VRay "blurred glass" material for both mixed with a composite shader for the lines and lettering. Like I said, I still need to fix a few things.

I would venture to agree with Guyus24, perhaps just a whisper of curvature, for the signage-lettering? (Wouldn't touch that big "5" out on the docking collar, though, it's perfect! :yes Beautiful starry background, too...

Thanks. It is curved because it's part of the window!
It's just because it is face-on it appears that way.
As I said earlier, the glass material needs fixing anyway.

Typically me, I still wasn't happy with the deck section, so ended up rebuilding again.
Tweaked a lot of the textures, particularly the glass, and indented the window so the IR logo looks much better now. I suspect they put tinfoil on the inside to reflect an internal light, so I've tried to emulate that. I guess that's it. I need to get back to dirtying down my elevator car and then it's on to the emergency vehicles.

PS I have graded the image now to emulate the old Eastmancolor film stock and grain, along with a slight depth of field blur, so it looks much more 'period'.

Heading towards the full TB2 landing at Heathrow scenes I needed to get the buildings sorted.
This has to be one of the most bizarre creations of any Anderson show.
I call it "The Bonkers Building", and you often see parts of it scattered around Thunderbirds and other shows,
but rarely stacked up like a Gary Rhodes dinner.

I "acquired" a TB3 model. I wouldn't have built it for my project, but as it was there I did this as a quick piece of random art.
