WAR GAMES AND JOHN GLENN?

FS-Boneyard

Just watched War Games for the 100th showing but on the PC this time
so I was much closer to the speakers.... :|

Hey That radio chatter in the back ground In main Mission is
from The pre launch recordings of John Glenns Mercury Launch
When the voice said Cap Com that got my attention...

I listened to that part about 3 times and it matches my Spacecraft films
Project mercury audio from the DVD...

Am I the only one who noticed this...??? :?

Others have noticed the CAPCOM thing, but haven't, to my knowledge, specifically identified the actual mission the recording was from. I first heard mention of it in The Catacombs episode guides... maybe you'll want to let Martin Willey know about this bit of info you've discovered so that he can update the entry! :)

If you watch Breakaway, the first reveal of Alpha's command centre is loaded with NASA recordings. Exactly the same recordings are used in Thunderbirds Are Go. They're all part of the library recordings they had available.

!0 minutes before the launch

The Spacecraft Films Project mercury DVD Audio covers 4 hours of the Glenn Mission ,,, The audio on War Games is at 15 minutes before the launch when The Cape Cap Comm is talking to Bermuda about a downed computer and the process of bringing it back up before the launch... :)

Ill have to go back and watch Breakaway and see what audio it covers..
I have the 2 Thunderbird movies on VHS but Ill have to fight for the TV with My kids..
