That's my worry as well, after all two years is a long time.
I'm sure they could include more parts in each issue as this would cut down the releases needed. Issue 4 is just a couple of frame struts, are they worth 9?
I still haven't subscribed yet as I'm buying from the newsagents, I want to but I am worried it won't reach the end.

Well l cannot see that happening what with new movies on the horizon and if anyone thinking of ordering from shops, most are only counter selling the first 5. WHsmiths are taking orders but you pay up the first 4 to make sure you bother picking it up & continue, fair enough l thought. I went to subscribe for other goodies and next mouth start receiving 4 a month. 36ish but can cancel anytime.

Oh. I remember seeing that kit on a top shelf when I was a teenager - I rushed home and asked mum and dad to allow me to spend 20 on it - savings I'd accumulated for a trip to Forbidden Planet in Denmark Street.
They agreed.
What a POC the kit was, nothing like the box art.

Yesterday I decided to subscribe to this build and today I received an email saying the issues will be 9.99 each so I immediately cancelled it. It was expensive to begin with and I certainly wasn't going to pay anymore.
Its a pity as I would really like a Falcon.

Default That's scandalous.....

.....I wouldn't have signed up for this as it's beyond my budget, but understand fully the reasons for other doing so - it would be a tremendous project to finish. Honestly though, you're four weeks into the campaign and they've just bumped the total price up by 100.00? Bet when you get halfway, the price goes up again.

Kindest regards and, truly, hard luck,

Patrick

I subbed to their 1/8th McLaren MP4-23 a couple of years ago. That ran for a similar period of time without any increase in price and i've never seen that happen to any of the partworks that have been produced and no one else who's opted in to the Falcon on other forums has had this problem.
It must have been a mistake, did you query it with them ?

I wish they would dump all this each week for two years stuff with a crap magazine and just sell all the parts, unpainted, as a kit.

Badsimmond they have confirmed its 8.99 per issue from issue 3 onwards, so they are unsure what happened, you can email customercare@deagostini.co.uk if you continue to have a problem

Hope that helps,

Chris

Hi Chris

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you but I was waiting for things to happen and to hear from Deagostini.
As things stand at the moment I now know what happened with my subscription, however I have still cancelled my subscription as I'm waiting for other things to hopefully happen soon.
If all goes well I will re-subscribe to this kit as I think its the best Falcon available, I know its expensive but its a lot less than a MR version or even perhaps a scratch built - think of all those kits you have to buy.
Meantime I have bought the first four issues from a local newsagents and hopefully I can get the next one or two issues the same way.

Many thanks for your help Chris it really was most appreciated.

all the best

Default Back on board.....

Glad to hear that you're back on the project M - was disappointed to hear about the previous nonsense. Discussing this matter with a colleague of mine, he ventured that the extra pound might have been going in the pocket of the retailer or newsagent handling your orders. Anyway, looks like the situation may be resolved so, if we're all still here in 2017 there should be a flood of photographs of finished Falcons!

Kindest regards

Patrick
