Hang on. Martin Bower didn't work on Thunderbirds, did he? The guy normally sells CDs.

Must be a repro??? Condition looks suspiciously good.

this was made by Martin for the thunderbirds COMIC along with a load of other stuff he made and photographed for the comics thunderbirds, cap scarlet ,stingray etc. he would have been a wee lad to have worked on the original series. you are paying for an original Bower , not an original series used craft
cheers Paul

Clarification most welcome. A beautiful piece of work and kind-of-original.

(My guess about 4000).

its not an original and its not accurate at all apart from the huskie. other kit parts on it are incorrect.

that could be made as that one is for around 50-100

its a plastic kit or several plastic kit pieces put together, not a carving of wood like Martins other work.

Or you could say it's a MARTIN BOWER original model and value it at 500

I would have given my eye teeth for one of Martin's models a few years ago....

The seller is confusing the issue with his discription, which doesn't help - also wasn't this put up on ebay by the same guy a year or so ago?

If you like it and can find a 1990s comic with this model in a picture (its always possible that he made several so don't assume its the same one) then it is worth 'a few' quid, based on who made it and that it was used in a popular publication.
As said though it isn't actually the model from the episode or the best replica of this vehicle around.

I don't like the way it's described either...someone could easilly be mis-led into thinking it's an original from the show. i've sent a message via evilbay, asking the seller to clarify.

10mins,18 seconds, into Pit of Peril, you can clearly see that the model advertised is not the original shown in the TV show.

At the end of the day if it was the original it would be at least 10 times that price, if it is a martin bower model its worth more than the starting price on this one. to me that makes it a good buy. I have asked the seller if he has any paperwork or anything that ties in with the story.
