Default So, who has picked up the Moebius Moonbus?

They popped up here in the states last week and I am eyeballing mine and debating about whether I want to build it stock or start giving it some Eagle mods. One mod I plan to do either to my first or second one is do a Rescue Moonbus (maybe more akin to Moon Ambulance) with the back section turned into something of a mobile intensive care ward. I just don't know if I'll go for a big red cross on top or give it the ole Rescue Eagle candy stripe approach.

I can think of a few other ideas to do with a Moonbus.

Received mine on Thursday (from Fabgear)...will be sent to Jim Small as I want it to be "up-to-specs" vis-a-vis the "real" one!

I've got one that came in last week. Gonna build it stock...but it might be awhile. Got a lot of other projects half-way done at the moment (isn't that always the way?).

Got mine some days ago and it will be built in stock. Of course without the outer front windows. I got mine from Cult TV Man and he is also offering a photoedged detailing set (which I have not bought).

I have one on order from a mate who runs a comic shop locally, although his stock has not filtered through just yet. Should not be long now all being well.

Just ordered one from the Starship Modeller Store. Anyone know what the RRP for this kit will be in the UK?

That's a tenner cheaper than Comet!

Even though I've got the big MiM one and I piicked up the old Aurora one in the 90's (even kept the box), will probably still get one to do something else with.

Yeah she is, but, I gave up begging for her to get me stuff and just ask if I can get it for her to give to me. She does not see well, so "obscure" stuff like the Moonbus, that is not available at the local Wallyworld, is just better for me to order. In return she usually asks for cash on her birthday to buy....shudder....clothes. Provided we have the money, it actually is a more enjoyable way to get some gifts.

I bought mine and it is in the stack of unbolts waiting for me. Quite a lot I of stuff ahead of it, but it has the advantage of being planned as an out of he box build..... So I might even get to it this summer.

Competing with the Viper MK II which is also out of the box with just some photo etch parts to be added. Coin toss as tp which gets attacked first.

In any case, this is a perfect excuse to go out and get the 2001 blu-Ray. Can't wait to see that movie clearly for the first time in over 20 years.

Got my Moon Bus kit today, hey I have been wanting one of these kits since 1969, and finally got it.

I missed the Aurora release in my youth, I could never get hold of one in the 1970s, had the vast majority of the other Aurora Sci-Fi kits just never had this one, or they were just too expensive to consider buying to build.
