Well I remember many years ago, just before 'New Captain Scarlet' went into production, Gerry was on a British TV chat show talking about Thunderbirds, and when the host asked him about a him making a new Captain Scarlet animation series, Gerry stopped him and said ' Yes we were going to, but I just received a phone call yesterday, and now we are going to make a live action movie of Captain Scarlet!' And that was the last anyone ever heard of it! There again, Gerry was always doing that sort of thing!

Can you post photos, maybe with a coke can for scale?

The lunar rover is 1/12 - 6 inch action figure scale.
There must have been at least a story outline in order to know to build stuff. No point in making a lunar rover if the story doesn't go to the moon...

Default MARS roverlab

Not LUNAR Jim, hence the red weathering. As far as I remember it was to be based on the original reason why the Mysterons had it in for us...we were on Mars and opened fire on their city (hence the missiles) Not easy inserting pics....URL to Facebook, why does it have to be a URL? cant I just insert from my pc? New to posting pics. what if there isnt a URL for it and it only exists in my pc?

I never even knew the production for that movie ever existed!

It was a long time ago now. I think it was the same production company that did the animated Captain Scarlet, they just moved the goal posts, as often happens with these things. I don't have time to pry into the details. Bill tells me to make something and I make it ( or in this case WE made it) liaising with Art Depts is more Bills thing.

Grew up watching Captain Scarlet and it would be very interesting to see a movie.
