I've never seen the movie, but I've heard of it. Since I'm at work, I'm not going to attempt to find pictures of the monster using Google.

That said, I think the sculpt is going well. Sure looks like a campy movie monster to me.

Where I am, in the US, it was most definitely rated X, because "flesh". If one wanted to rent the video tape, they'd have to go into "the back room" to do so. Later an "edited" version came out that was rated R in the US, but I'm sure all the "good stuff" was cut out.

If my memory serves me there were a couple of guys at the second British Star Trek convention in Leicester 1975 who had been involved in the production of 'Flesh'
I can't remember if they did a talk or were showing any props etc from the film, I might even be wrong but everybody was aware of the film.
I haven't seen it since those days so I can't remember much about it except it was 'X' rated.
Love the monster.

One of those people might have been the late Michael Minor who was involved with the original series of Trek and Flesh Gordon !!

Actually, it was originally rated 'x', the R rated version has a lot of edits...because really the attraction wasn't the porn, it was the comedy.

At the time, in the Los Angeles area porno films were considered prostitution. To avoid being prosecuted for pandering, the Producers surrendered the X-rated footage to the L.A. Police.

Although not official, the effects crew named the Great God Porn, Nesuahyrrah. To find out the origin of the name, spell it backwards.
