Default Are the Dinky and Corgi Fab1s the same?

Did Corgi reissue the original Dinky mould or is it a whole 'new' (in quotes because it came out years ago) mould? if they are different, which is considered more 'accurate', please?

The Corgi I knew back in the early '70s was the best that I recall. Or maybe it was a Dinky back then? So long ago. When toys where metal.

I remember now. I had the one that shot missiles. Corgi was the brand that had such features for their TV/Movie vehicles. I don't think the Corgi was to scale, because rockets.

Dinky and Corgi both feature missiles and harpoons.

The bubble on the Corgi is terrible and so are the wheels.
The Dinky is closer to correct (closer but still not 100 percent right)

Part of the trouble is that the FAB 1 changes so much across the series and films. But there is also a lot of can't be bothered at Corgi.
It seems to be always the case with TV and movie stuff (apart from Product Enterprises when they were originally producing die casts)

The saddest thing of all is that Corgi at their height wanted desperately to get the rights to FAB 1 but lost out to Dinky.Had this happened we would have had FAB 1 designed by genius Marcel Van Cleemput.
