Gerry Anderson to launch a new kid's show

Gerry Anderson, the man behind classic kid's TV shows Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet is currently working on a new project.

The Andermat Thunderbolt is being made by Cosgrove Hall Films and will be a stop motion animation series aimed at six to twelve year olds.

The show revolves around two characters that travel to a planet called Andermat. Andermat is a magic planet and is home to the Andermat Thunderbolt, a steam railway engine of gigantic proportions. The two explorers embark on a quest to find the source of the planet’s magic.

Cosgrove Hall are really great at producing top notch animation, and have a good track record of producing quality shows for TV. Unfortunately (in a way) because they tend to make TV product, they seem to be in the shadow of Aardman...
