Hey Guys...
Don't know if anyone is interested, but I was going through my collection of video tapes this evening, and came across a copy of MST3K presenting Cosmic Princess, which as we all know is a two episodes spliced together of Space 1999, and presented as a movie. The blast about MST3K is that through the movie, you have three people (well, 1 and two robots) commenting through it... And its a blast! These guys must have liked S1999, and some of there comments are priceless... If anyone is interested, I was thinking about digitising it and sending it out on a few disks, to be copied and passed on, ect... Kinda like a pay it forward... Let me know... |

Was it Metamorph & Space Warp?
Sounds like an interesting idea, by the way. I've only ever read about this MST3K episode; never actually saw it.

Glad there is some interest.
I watched the program last night, and its a very early MST3K episode, when they were on community tv. While some of the zingers aren't as sharp as there comedy channel episodes, theres some classic lines in there.... ... like when the opening credits roll: "What's a wadsworth?" "a wadsworth... about two and a quarter!" I'll get this transfered this weekend, and set some copies out. |

Veoh has this posted for download: http://www.veoh.com/videos/v361470bcR9SDRw
This was actually done when they were still on a local access channel KTMA before they went on the cable network... oh so much fun! |

Boy did that edit deserve a send up. I REALLY hated what they did with the derelict captain's voice...very cheesy.

I only saw the first 5 minits. Is there more somewhere I can access?
I bristled a little at the comments about S99 being a badly acted show starring Martin Landau. Martin wasn't the bad actor on the show by a long shot. And the nasty comments about him having been married to Barbara Bain...that was a little over the top. But I never even knew MST3K even did S99 before I saw this thread...I want to see the rest...just to hear the jokes... |

I read that during the scene in Metamorph when Koenig is smashing Psyche to smithereens, one of the 'bots says something like "Hasn't he heard of just using an off swtich?"

Personally, a comment I always thought Maya might have to make when the humans discovered her ability to morph would be, "You want me to turn into a donkey and do what?"
And no comments on Space Warp could match those done on the youtube vid Space 1899... |

Alright...
I was able to get all the MST3K episode onto a CD in Divx format! This means you may have to watch it o your computer, if your DVD player does not play DIVX. Allot of the new players do though Put your hand up if you want one. If theres a large number, I'll organize a PAY IT FORWARD system... |

BTW - some of the guys who did MST3K have taken their work online. Now they are producing what they call Rifftrax. You can find them at www.rifftrax.com. I have enjoyed many of them
