Default 12" PE Eagles

I visited a local flea market in Dayton this weekend and found 4 12" PE Eagles for $55, each. I was wondering, is this a decent price?

Not bad, especially as you wouldn't have to pay any shipping.

Thanks for your PM, Fozzy, but the system is telling me I can't send a reply to you (maybe you haven't enabled some settings). Could you please PM me your email address, or I'm at raoclery(at)bigpond(dot)com.

Thanks very much.

I returned to that flea market today, looking to buy some eagles. Only problem was two had already been sold and one looked like it had been used in a crash scene. So I only bought the one and will be leaving it in the box until I have my own house to set it up in (about a year down the road).
I have also picked up several AMT and a couple of Fundimension models off of e-bay. While not as big a collection as most of you on here, I'm not going to stop at these. The person behind the counter said they would be getting some more in a few months and that I should check back with him.

Well done. Even the busted one could be useful so if the seller takes offers then grab it for modelling purposes. You could sell the pod on ebay and make some money for latter purchases

My Eagle fleet has just tripled in size. One of my past students, upon hearing I had bought one over the weekend, brought in another Transporter Eagle today to give to me. I could not accept the gift, but told him to give me a price and that I would buy it. For $20, I now have two transporters. I also received in the mail today, a Rescue Eagle I had purchased from e-Bay last week. So now, the first eagle is no longer a lonely sibling. Now I need the freighter & lab. Not sure if I want the VIP unit. Ears and eyes open and I'll keep searching.

20 bucks! Cool! I hope you've got space to show them off.

I share your joy - I just received my 2nd eagle (regular transporter) in the post from ebay today. My freighter now has a playmate.

Fozzy, if you end up getting all the others you just as well pull the trigger on the vip!

I resisted getting a VIP for a long time because I think it is an ugly Eagle...but then, when I couldn't find one for sale anymore, I panicked. How stupid was I? Of COURSE I had to have one of those! I needed a complete set!

Funny how the human mind works somehow.

I actually picked a VIP pod that had been converted by one of our members so I never actually bought the eagle as such. I rather like the orange.

Default Another Eagle

I purchased another Eagle for my ever growing fleet. I picked up a kit that had the Lab Eagle, Tank, and Moon Buggy off of E-bay. That makes a total of 4 eagles. I can't wait to see in sitting on my front door step. All I need now is the Freighter version. I may take a hint from Tony42 and paint the extra transporter to resemble the VIP.

I continue looking for a home of my own so that I would have some place to adequately display these craft (along with several starships, X-wings, Navy F-14, F-4, Battleships, Destroyers, Cruisers).

The WhoNA guys have been great. I got one from them last year for less than it would have cost me to buy it in AU. That's a good price if you don't have one.

Thanks to Hawk (my hero), he now has one less than he did. I will now have 5 eagles when the last two arrive. I will have to do a 'family' picture with them.
Out of curiosity, what color orange is used to on the VIP & what areas are masked for the proper look?
