Default Red Ship

Built this after getting all fired up from a bit of a 1999 vid-fest.
Basic shape is a novelty Ferro Roche container,
legs are cut down coathangers,
cowls where they join the body are from the Virago kit,
engine bell is an egg cup,
bit off the Saturn V on the very top,
Anime bits for detailing,
go-fasta stripes and paper tabs for the panelling.

Cheapest way possible -
a 2.50 picture frame from Wilkenson's,
remove glass,
lay down some lumps of Das Pronto,
splodge over some Polyfilla quick drying filler,
sprinkle some games workshop scatter material,
then mix it all together, continually pulling upwards as the filler starts to go off which makes nice little peaks.
All in, cost about a fiver.

A nice looking rocket model, good job, just as some of the other have said, its amazing what you can come up with just using bits and bobs that you have lying around.

Manga

Very impressive indeed and very 1999ish!

With the exception of the S-IVb part I would never have guessed where you got the other parts.

Like your weathering too.
