Smile Christmas? Put it here....

Hi Guys,

With a house full of children the subject of Christmas has been raised daily for about two weeks. We are getting near the day so just for fun I thought I would write my Santa wish list and then come back and edit in exactly what I had.

According to Niamh (7) I would like breakfast in bed
Liam (9) says I would like the Bathroom all to myself
And Kieran (14) thinks I should have a second remote for the telly
Cathy thinks it would be nice to get someone else to finish decorating our house

I bet it will be socks and aftershave again.

As long as I am at home with the family I don't really mind what I get but I did ask Santa for a Nikon D3s (ask Scatta or look on eBay)....

How about you guys?

My wish list includes the following:

Space 1999 Blu Ray set (to go with the Blu Ray drive I installed in the computer for my Birthday a few days ago)
Several books from Amazon
Slippers
Jumper
Socks (I really do need them !)

Fantasy List:
50 Inch HD TV & Blu Ray Player
22 Inch HD TV for model workshop room
Some new 'L' Series lenses for my Canon DSLR Camera
A set of 44" landing gear & CM from Chris Trice for my current Eagle build
USB VHS Video player to convert all those old videos to something useful

As I bought the Blu Ray set and handed it to my dear wife immediately, I do know that Santa is likely to make that particular wish come true !

Being middle aged with grown children, that's my wish!

I love when I'm "done". Shopping, wrapping, decorating the place. Should be set by today! Just a bit more wrapping

And Merry Christmas to all Space 1999 fans

I don't care what I get for Xmas. I just pray that Easyjet don't cancel the last flight from Newcastle to Belfast on Xmas Eve so I can be with my wife and kids.

Otherwise I will be spending Xmas day on my own

First time I have hoped that we DON'T have a white xmas.

"w8cmp...USB VHS Video player to convert all those old videos to something useful"

Chris, assuming you have a VHS player "MAGIX" do a wonderful converter package called "Rescue your videotapes". You get a USB connector, SCART connector & RCA connectors, cost me 39.99 from pcworld.

Have a good Christmas all.

All my girls home for a night! Now that they're moving up and out, we seldom get them all together anymore.
And the SECRET wish, would be time! Time to build a model, read a book, dig a hole, fill it in, etc.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my ETF friends around the globe!

be nice to actually get some time off work for a change, on call 24/7 so can never really switch off!. Not asking for anything for xmas nor wanting anything for xmas. My wife and I get what we want whenever we want over the year. Be just nice to have our usual BBQ Xmas lunch as a family and then to sit and chill and enjoy being together (kids are being spoilt as usual though, but they are growing up and the magic is fading)

BBQ for Christmas lunch sounds good indeed...but as it varies so much just in the US, I imagine it might be even more different in Australia! Come to think of it, a summer Christmas is OK by me as well; I love summer, and the chances of a good snow in my neck of the woods, as well as having it on the proper day for a white Christmas are slim. The beach and a swim Christmas day sounds wonderful!
Although I do have a more material wish list, involving various models and sci-fi DVDs, mostly I'm glad to have both my children home this year. This summer my daughter may be wed, and so who knows if we will see her and her husband on Christmas day or not. So I'm glad they are here this year.
Biggest wish of all, is for something better than the part time, low paying, often humiliating, bad hours job I'm gotten stuck in this year. What I'd give again for decent pay, decent co-workers, weekday hours job that actually pays the bills. And, even better, if it was something I actually liked doing.
Anyway, I hope all of you have a really wonderful Christmas!!

My wife is just out of hospital so I would like to have all the work done - calm down my three year old and enjoy the snow when I don't have to fight my way to work or lose days pay- Hope we all have a great Christmas

Festive Greetings to all on the ETF.

I suspect Koenig would be getting a bit jaded about seasonal jollities after over a decade on the rock, a thought which inspired this card.

Surely He will land on a launch pad and descend elegantly into the Eagle bay.

The gifts will be swiftly dispatched by travel tube whilst Santa and the reindeer are refreshed with Verdeshi's secial sherry and some hydroponic carrots before carrying on to Earth.
